    Learning of Multimedia-Based Physics Concept Applications to Improve Students’ Motivation and Science Process Skills

    Physics concept application is widely applied in daily life but students have a lack of knowledgeconcerning the concept of physics application. This research aimed to examine the motivation and skills of the scientific process through learning the concept of multimedia-based physics applications. This is experimental research, conducted on Year IX students of Islamic Senior High School. Samples were taken with purposive sampling techniques and divided into two groups of Mastery Learning Scores (MLS), MLS ≥ 70 and MLS< 70. Data were collected from Pre-test and post-test. The motivational data was presented through the category table, while the science process skills were analyzed using the Independent sample t-test. After the treatment, the initial motivation of the MLS class ≥ 70 was increased from 66.1% to 81.9%, while it was from 63% to 82.5% for the MLS class< 70. Besides, the final science process skillswere significantly different between the two classes, indicating byt count >t table 2.14 > 1.65. This study suggested that learning concepts of multimedia-based physics applications can improve student motivation in both classes, while the science process skills only affect the students of the MLS group ≥ 70

    Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi implementasi pendidikan karakter pada Madrasah Aliyah di Provinsi Aceh, implementasi budaya Madrasah Aliyah terhadap antisipasi penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan siswa pada Madrasah Aliyah di Provinsi Aceh, dan kendala implementasi pendidikan karakter Madrasah Aliyah di Provinsi Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, subjek penelitian 3 orang kepala Madrasah Aliyah dan 15 orang guru yang bertugas pada tiga Madrasah Aliyah ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Sementara analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian, implementasi pendidikan karakter pada Madrasah Aliyah di Aceh dilakukan melalui strategi integrasi dalam mata pelajaran. Budaya karakter pada Madrasah Aliyah berimplikasi positif terhadap antisipasi penyalahgunaan narkoba terhadap peserta didik di Aceh. Implementasi pendidikan karakter pada Madrasah Aliyah di Provinsi Aceh terlaksana secara efektif dan tidak mengalami kendala.Abstract:The study aimed to determine the implementation strategy of the character education in the Islamic High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah) of Aceh Province, the cultural implementation of the Islamic High Schools against the drug abuse anticipation among the students in the Islamic High Schools of Aceh Province, and the implementation obstacles of the character education in the Islamic High Schools of Aceh Province. This study used a qualitative research method. The research subjects were 3 school principals of the Islamic High Schools and 15 teachers assigned to three Islamic High Schools that were selected by using purposive sampling. The data analysis was conducted by using the descriptive approach. The findings showed that the implementation of the character education in the Islamic High Schools of Aceh was conducted through the integration strategies in the subjects. The character culture of the Islamic High Schools had positive implications on the drug abuse anticipation of the students in Aceh. The implementation of character education in the Islamic High Schools of Aceh Province was carried out effectively and did not get any obstacles

    The academic competence development of Arabic lecturers in lecture management in Indonesia

    This study focused on examining three issues: (1) the academic competence of Arabic lecturers in lecture management at the Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty (TTF); (2) the strategies in developing the academic competence of Arabic lecturers at the TTF of The State Islamic University in Indonesia; and (3) the obstacles in developing the academic competence of Arabic lecturers at the TTF of the State Islamic University in Indonesia. The results showed that the lecturers assigned to the ASP at the TTF of the State Islamic University in Indonesia had effective academic competencies in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of lectures.Este estudio se centró en examinar tres cuestiones: (1) la competencia académica de los profesores de árabe en la gestión de conferencias en la Facultad de Formación de Profesores y Tarbiyah (TTF); (2) las estrategias para desarrollar la competencia académica de los profesores de árabe en el TTF de la Universidad Islámica del Estado en Indonesia; y (3) los obstáculos en el desarrollo de la competencia académica de los profesores de árabe en el TTF de la Universidad Estatal Islámica de Indonesia. Los resultados mostraron que los profesores asignados a la ASP en el TTF de la Universidad Islámica del Estado en Indonesia tenían competencias académicas efectivas en la planificación, implementación y evaluación de conferencias

    This article examines the implementation of Islamic education and teacher’s competence in determing the islamic curriculum, and the limitations regarding islamic education of Madrasah Aliyah in Aceh. The results of presented the implementation of Islamic education of Madrasah Aliyah in Aceh refering to the Aceh qanun Islamic education Number 11 the year 2014. The teachers assigned in Aceh should have good competency and qualified bachelor skills and have the ability to carry out the Islamic education process following the provisions of the Aceh. Overall, the implementation of Islamic education in Aceh is carried out effectively and efficiently.Este artículo examina la implementación de la educación islámica y la competencia de los maestros para determinar el plan de estudios islámicos y las limitaciones para abordar la educación islámica de Madrasah Aliyah en Aceh. Los resultados plantearon que la implementación de la educación islámica de Madrasah Aliyah en Aceh se refiere a la educación número 11 de Aceh qanun del año 2014. Los maestros asignados en Aceh deben tener una buena competencia y habilidades de licenciatura calificadas y tener la capacidad de llevar a cabo el proceso de educación islámica siguiendo las disposiciones de Aceh. En general, la implementación de la educación islámica en Aceh se lleva a cabo de manera efectiva y eficiente
